Canapes or no canapes?
Canapés provide an excellent accompaniment alongside your drinks reception and help bridge the gap until your main meal is served so that you and your guests don’t go hungry providing a great introduction to the main wedding meal!
We have a variety of different canapes to choose from where we recommend selecting one option from each category.
Don’t worry- your SYC supervisor will hand deliver you your own couples platter during the drinks reception so that you don’t miss out whilst getting those all-important photos!
Selecting the perfect Wedding Breakfast menu
You may be wondering ‘What is a Wedding Breakfast?’ (trust us when we say we get asked this a lot as it is rather confusing isn’t it!)
Traditionally the main, substantial meal on your wedding day is called the ‘Wedding Breakfast’ as this is the first meal you will eat together as a married couple. So no, you don’t have to have a full English breakfast, you can have whatever meal the two of you would like!
Our menus cater for all styles of dining, whether you want to stick with the traditional sit-down 3-course meal or look for something a little more informal such as a sharing style of menu or street food stalls offering a choice of world foods.
If you are sticking with the traditional, we have a variety of set 3-course menus for you to choose from which vary in price per head and offering. Each menu has a list of starters, mains and desserts for you to choose from, where we ask that you select one dish per course for all of your guests to enjoy. Don’t worry about choosing different dishes for any of your guests with dietary requirements, when we gather all of the final details (28 days before your day) we will ask for you to let us know any dietary information from your guests and we will be sure to provide dietary specific dishes for them on the day.
If you are looking to provide more choice for your guests, you can offer a choice menu for an additional surcharge, allowing your guests to pick from up to 2 starters, mains and desserts.
Looking for a more informal, relaxed style of dining? Take a look at our street food menu where street food stalls offering a choice of mains/accompaniments from world foods are set up around the edge of the dining room and your guests get to enjoy a selection of desserts served from a dessert station. This 2-course menu allows you to handpick from a large selection of main stalls and mini desserts are served from the dessert station. Your guests will be called up table by table to the stalls and can choose to have a selection of all the foods or stick to just the one if they prefer.
Evening Snacks
After all of the dancing, your guests will have worked up an appetite ready to enjoy some evening snacks, usually served at 9pm.
We have a variety of delicious evening food options offering anything from tray served hot baps to street food.
Considering a hog roast? Why not take a look at our carved meats menu which offers the hot pork option but you get to offer an additional meat choice alongside side dishes, offering lots more choice than your traditional hog roast. With this option, we also provide a vegetarian/vegan option too, so they don’t have to miss out.
