Experience Event at Heaton House Farm

For the past few years, Heaton House Farm have hosted Experience Events to help couples choose suppliers, get lots of inspiration and start getting excited about their upcoming special day.

Once a couple has confirmed Heaton House Farm as their wedding venue and secured a date they are invited to come along to this special event to view a selection of the venue’s favourite and most trusted suppliers.

On Sunday 24th March, Heaton House Farm were planning to open their doors to over 500 guests to enjoy an afternoon selecting suppliers, trying tasters and having fun with family and friends. And we were absolutely delighted when we got an invitation to attend the Experience Event… as one of the recommended caterers!

The event was a huge success, both for Heaton House Farm and Stable Yard Catering, as more guests than ever before came along to view everything on offer.

As guests arrived through the Oak Barn they were treated to a fabulous array of reception drinks and different samples to try on the Rustic Bar. Next to this Heaton House Farm’s latest addition, the ‘Pimp Your Gin’ display, gave couples an idea of how they could add a twist to their reception drinks.

The Old Stableyard Restaurant was transformed into a VIP area for an upgraded wine tasting experience for couples who will be getting married in 2019. This was a fabulous experience as couples got to sit back, relax and try the wines they will be drinking on their special day!

The Wedding Barn hosted some wonderful musical entertainment as DJ Tom Finkhill, steel band Pantonic and The Beard Band performed alternate sets to get everybody in the party mood!

Heading into Steele’s Barn, the entire space was filled with every kind of supplier you might need for your special day and amazing table displays provided all the inspiration.

Our stand was located along the right-hand side as soon as guests turned into Steele’s Barn which gave us the ideal spot to catch people as they made their way in. We were offering everyone a taster of Butter Roasted Breast and Thigh of Chicken, Smoked Bacon, Crème Fraiche with Apple and Thyme Jus. For Vegetarians, we provided a sample of the Roasted Squash Butter Curry with Coriander and Cumin seed Pilau Rice.

We had a full display of demonstration dishes to give guests an idea of how our Signature Dishes would be delivered to the table on the day.

Beef Brisket Bolognese with Orzo Pasta, and the Butter Roasted Chicken with seasonal vegetables were on show in the large sharing bowls alongside a selection of home baked bread.

Our Farmhouse and Signature Canapes were presented so that guests could take a look at how they might be served on their wedding day.

Creamed Goats Cheese with Sticky Bacon Jam and Roasted Cherry Tomato, Farmhouse Sausage Skewer with Mustard Glaze, Tempura King Prawn with Sweet Chilli and Salmon Topped with Crushed Tortilla, Sour Cream and Guacamole provided a showcase of some of the delightful canapes on offer.

We had a great afternoon talking to couples about how they were getting on with their planning and whether we could help them create their perfect menu.

We enjoyed spending time looking at all the other great suppliers, such as Sam Fitton the magician, Rodo’s luxurious array of wedding stationary and the wonderful ice-cream stand courtesy of Vitalianos.

Best Man had a fantastic array of suits, Maria Modes had a beautiful display of stunning wedding dresses, Kinderton Hats showcased their fascinating selection of headwear and Gypsy Rose offered a bohemian flair with floral crowns.

Casino tables were set up by GB Fun Casinos, Buttercup Cakes provided an amazing display of sweet treats, Lightech demonstrated some innovative lighting options and Eventech inflated a white bouncy castle to show couples how they can add a bit of fun to their special day.

Lee Brown Photography and RTP Films bought along their portfolios to show couples how they could capture the perfect moments.

Qube and Butterfly Events made the whole venue look beautiful as they decorated the ceremony areas and tables in Steele’s Barn with floral arrangements, floating candles and blossom trees.

All of the couples left with lots of inspiration after an amazing afternoon and everyone at Stable Yard Catering thoroughly enjoyed their first time at the Experience Event.

We look forward to the next Experience Event at Heaton House Farm!
