What to expect at your Food and Wine Tasting!
You have booked your dream wedding at Heaton House Farm – congratulations! The date is set, the planning is well underway, and now it’s time for one of the most exciting parts of your wedding journey… your food and wine tasting with Stable Yard Catering. We typically release our menus mid-year and shortly after this, we will invite you to join us for an evening designed to inspire, delight and make your decision-making effortless.
As you arrive, grab a drink from our fully stocked rustic bar and take a look at the wide range of drinks available for their big day. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse the options guests will enjoy from cocktails and fizz to local beers and premium spirits. With a drink in hand, we will start serving you a wonderful selection of beautifully crafted canapés, giving you a flavour of what you and your guests will experience during your reception.
Then, it’s time to head into the dining room, where you’ll be seated at shared tables alongside other couples. It’s the perfect opportunity to chat, share inspiration and talk all things weddings.
Our tasting experience gives you the chance to sample a carefully selected chef’s choice of dishes from across our plated 3-course menus, allowing you to experience the quality, flavours and presentation of our food. As the menu is chosen by our chefs, you may not taste the exact dishes you ultimately choose for your wedding day, but it will give you a great introduction to the range and quality of dishes available.
When it comes to your wedding day, you can mix and match dishes across the menu, giving you the flexibility to create the perfect wedding breakfast.

Our bar supervisors will be on hand to talk through each of our drinks packages with displays of some of our wonderful reception drinks, toast drinks and wines during dining- you will discover exactly what drinks you can enjoy on your big day. Everything is showcased beautifully so choosing becomes easy!
Throughout the event, our experienced catering supervisors will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and share tips on how to elevate your menu with little touches your guests will love. Meanwhile, you and your loved one will start to choosing your dream wedding catering via our Google Form to give us an idea of what you are looking for on your special day.
