What to expect at your Food and Wine Tasting!
You have booked your dream wedding at Heaton House Farm – congratulations! The date is set, the planning is well underway, and now it’s time for one of the most exciting parts of your wedding journey… your food and wine tasting with Stable Yard Catering. Around six months before your big day, we will invite you to join us for an evening designed to inspire, delight and make your decision-making effortless. And for our 2026 weddings, tastings are looking a little different – in the best way possible!
We like to showcase a wide variety of food styles to give our couples of taste of all the incredible food we have to offer, for both informal and formal dining styles, so our couples can enjoy their wedding day, their way.
As you arrive, grab a drink from our fully stocked rustic bar and take a look at the wide range of drinks available for their big day. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse the options guests will enjoy from cocktails and fizz to local beers and premium spirits. With a drink in hand, we will start serving you a wonderful selection of beautifully crafted canapés, giving you a flavour of what you and your guests will experience during your reception.
Then… head into the dining room.You can now take your seats, and as our tasting experiences are now different, you can sit alongside other future couples- the perfect chance to chat, share inspiration and talk all things wedding. Enjoy a full sit-down tasting experience with a sample of our plated starters, mains and desserts from our 2026 menu. You can mix and match dishes across the menu on the day, giving you even more flexibility when designing the perfect wedding breakfast.
Not sure what the other menu choices look like? Don’t worry! We have a helpful PowerPoint running throughout the tasting, showcasing photos of additional dishes, useful tips and tricks, menu inspiration and those little extras that can help elevate your wedding dining experience.
Our bar supervisors will be on hand to talk through each of our drinks package with displays of some our wonderful reception drinks, toast drinks and wines during dining- you will discover exactly what drinks you can enjoy on your big day. Everything is showcased beautifully so choosing becomes easy!
Throughout the event, our experienced catering supervisors will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and share tips on how to elevate your menu with little touches your guests will love. Meanwhile, you and your loved one will start to choosing your dream wedding catering via our Google Form to give us an idea of what you are looking for on your special day.
